Invitation to ISTMA to attend joint cocktails hosted by CITMA and the UKIPO, 16 May 2023

The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Agents (CITMA) and the UKIPO jointly hosted cocktails during the INTA annual meeting in Singapore at the JW Marriott. ISTMA’s President, Mrs. Murgiana Haq and Council members Soh Kar Liang and Tan Kee Leng were invited to attend. Mr. Adam Williams, the Chief Executive and Comptroller of the UKIPO gave a speech highlighting the close cooperation between the UKIPO and trade mark practitioners in the UK. He remarked on the frequent exchange of views and interaction between officers and practitioners at a professional level and the mutual respect shown to each other in respect of their views. Such a relationship shows the valuable contribution by trade mark practitioners to the development  of trade marks as an important asset and the growth of the trade mark profession as a high calibre one. This is something ISTMA aspires to develop with IPOS.
