We held our first in-person AGM and ISTMA Seminar on the 5th of March 2024. We welcomed our new ISTMA President, Soh Kar Liang, Vice President, Tasneem Haq, Secretary Kevin Wong and Treasurer Boo Yee Swan. Special thanks was given to Mrs. Murgiana Haq, ISTMA’s now immediate past-President for her years of dedication and work in being the driving force behind ISTMA. We also welcomed new Council members Renee Xavier and Esther Seow. Yvonne Tang, Catherine Lee, Jo-Ann See and Freeman Yu will continue their roles as ISTMA Council members. Following the AGM and a short coffee break, we then held our first ISTMA seminar. The topic was “Bad Faith as a Ground of Opposition” and this was presented by Professor David Lewellyn who is a Fellow of ISTMA. Members were then treated to a sit-down Chinese lunch which was a wonderful opportunity for bonding and catching up. Ms.Tan Mei Lin and Ms. Sandy Widjaja of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore also attended the ISTMA Seminar and luncheon. Our special thanks to Professor David Lewellyn for an interesting and very helpful seminar and our thanks to all members for attending this special event.
